I absolutely loved my bike. I say "loved" because after a whole 5 days in my possession, it was stolen. Beware of thieves and buy a super duper lock. (they cut my cable lock) I bought the Barcelona in olive green added front rack with basket and upgraded the saddle. For me the pros of this bike are: fold up and thus can bring into my office, upright ride, 3 gears so I don't have to work crazy hard to get to work given the wheels are small, one of a kind (there just isn't another bike like this and I think it's a gorgeous bike), solid bike (which might add to the weight and the comment from another reviewer). The cons are it's not an easy fold. The brompton folds up nice and tight and locks into place. This bike does not and it can be challenging to carry. Limited accessories. The size doesn't make it easy to find things such as panniers or baskets. You have to look at kid accessories. I wish Citizen offered more of this. I am so sad I don't have the bike any more. I will live vicariously through those who read my review and decide to buy it.

I ordered this bike as a present for a friend and sent it back. It seems heavier than 30 lbs. because it is very awkward to snap together. Granted were older women but not physical wrecks. When you broke it down to put into the travel bag it didn't fit. My friend works out of town and wanted it as a travel bike because the video makes it look so easy. Well it's not! She went back to using her mountain bike using the carrier on the back of the car. It might work for you if your younger and in really great physical condition. Older women should avoid this bike unless your in great shape as well. It cost $102.00 to ship it back.

i love my citizen bike. i've purchased 2 more citizen bikes since as gifts. the ride is so pleasant, i'm not sure what i expected...i suppose with the smaller wheels i just assumed it might be a little rough. but it's actually a very controlled and comfortable ride. i upgraded my seat to the extra cushy one. love the extra rump space. the bag is great. it fits the bike fine. my experience has been very positive. i would recommend this bike to anyone on a budget or tight for space. as i mentioned, i've even purchased a couple as gifts. i've read a few reviews where people have had theirs stolen! buy a good lock. these bikes are very good looking. they are also a good value for money.
i practiced unfolding and folding the bike a few times before taking it out on its inaugural ride. you are not a folding bike expert at one shot! it takes a little learning and practice by doing. then it becomes very easy. there aren't the additional bells and whistles that some of the more expensive bikes have attached to it for breakdown...but those are a thousand dollar bikes, and you bought one for a few hundred. so take the time to learn your bike and use the straps to keep it tight and in place.
i have the lightest bike the gotham 2 and even at 27 lbs. it's a beast. but that's because you are carrying around a 27 pound block! once in the bag it's comfortable enough to get it into and out of the car. i'm not sure i would go walking about with it tho! unfold it and push! ;)
i get many compliments on my bike and have even had other citizen bike owners flag me down to chat about their bikes! but most of all, the actual bike ride is awesome. i'm always smiling when i ride my citizen.
